We use 100% domestic Noshu hemp grown by a hemp farm that has been in business for over 400 years, and manages everything from cultivating it from seeds to harvesting, boiling, grinding, and drying.The water used to grind the hemp comes from a spring at a shrine with high vibrations.

Seima is a golden-colored fiber made by carefully refining the stems of the hemp plant (onusa). It has a stronger power of purification than water or salt, and is said to be a "plant in which gods reside" or a "sign of the gods," making it an essential item in religious ceremonies. Today, it is used for shimenawa ropes and bell cords at shrines. It has been excavated from Jomon period ruins, and has been closely linked to the lives of Japanese people since ancient times, making it an essential item.
